Quick Start

  1. In the Presenter View, click Remote Control to reveal the QR code.
  2. Scan the QR code with your phone camera.
  3. Swipe left/right to navigate slides.
Remote Control requires the presentation to be active. The presenter must click Present first.

How to Connect

Via QR Code

1

Open Remote Control

In the Presenter View, click Remote Control. A card appears showing a QR code and a 6-character session code.
2

Scan the QR Code

Point your phone camera at the QR code. Tap the link that appears — it opens the remote control page in your browser with the session already connected.
3

You’ll see the current slide and navigation controls. You’re connected and ready to go.

Via Manual Code

Use this method when QR scanning isn’t available (e.g., the QR code is on a distant projector screen).
1

Open the Remote URL

On your phone, navigate to your app’s /present/remote page (e.g., https://your-app.com/present/remote).
2

Enter the Session Code

Type the 6-character session code shown on the presenter’s screen into the code entry field.
3

Tap Connect

Tap Connect. The remote control interface loads with live slide data.
You can also copy the remote link or session code from the QR code card using the Copy Link or clicking the session code badge.

Remote Control Interface

Once connected, the remote displays:

Swipe gestures work anywhere on the remote control page — you don’t need to hit a specific area.

Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
QR code won’t scanOpen the remote URL manually (/present/remote) and enter the 6-character code
”Disconnected” statusCheck that your phone and the presenter computer are on the same Wi-Fi network
”Waiting for presentation”The presenter hasn’t started the presentation yet — ask them to click Present
Controls not respondingRefresh the remote page; the session code remains valid
Code entry rejectedMake sure you’re entering the correct 6-character code — codes are case-insensitive

Pro-Tips

Lower your screen brightness to avoid distracting the congregation when using the remote in a darkened room.
Enable Do Not Disturb on your phone before the service to prevent notifications from interrupting the remote control page.
Hand off mid-service: Share the QR code or session code with another person — multiple devices can connect to the same session, though only one should control at a time to avoid conflicts.
Bookmark the remote page on your phone for quick access in future services. You’ll just need to enter the new session code each time.
