The Hymn Library is your central repository for all worship songs. Add songs manually or import from the Master Hymnary, structure lyrics for automatic presentation slides, upload audio files, and sync lyrics to audio for rehearsal.

Quick Start

  1. Navigate to Hymns in the sidebar.
  2. Click Add Song and enter the title, genre, and season.
  3. Paste lyrics using section headers like [Verse 1], [Chorus], [Bridge].
  4. Click Save. Your song is now available for programs and playlists.

How-to Guide

Add a Song Manually

Click Add Song

Go to Hymns in the sidebar and click Add Song.

Fill in the Details

Enter the Title (required), Genre, Season, Key Signature, and Tempo (BPM).

Add Lyrics

In the Lyrics tab, paste or type using structured section headers:
[Verse 1]
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me

[Chorus]
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind, but now I see

Save

Click Save.
Always use section headers ([Verse], [Chorus], [Bridge], [Tag]). These drive automatic slide generation for Presentation Mode — each section becomes its own slide.

Upload and Manage Audio

Open the Song Detail Page

Click a song’s title in the library.

Upload Audio

Click Upload Audio in the Audio section. Select an MP3, WAV, or OGG file.

Add Multiple Files

Add multiple audio files per song (e.g., different arrangements or keys). Each file has its own player.

Sync Lyrics to Audio

Open the Lyric Sync Editor

Open a song with both lyrics and an audio file. Click Sync Lyrics.

Tap Along

Press Play and tap the Sync button each time a new lyric line begins. The editor records timestamp markers.

Save

Click Save Sync. Synced lyrics highlight in real time during playback.

Import from the Master Hymnary

  1. On the Hymns page, switch to the Master Hymnary tab.
  2. Browse or search the curated global collection.
  3. Click Import on any hymn to add it to your library with lyrics and metadata pre-filled.
Always check the Master Hymnary before creating a song manually — it may already exist with lyrics ready to go.

Share to Community

  1. Open a song’s detail page.
  2. Click Share to Community to make your arrangement available to other AdoraPlan churches.
  3. Shared songs appear in the Community tab for other tenants to import.

Pro-Tips

Add key signature and tempo for every song. Musicians rely on this information for rehearsal preparation.
Use the Filters sheet to narrow the library by genre, season, or key signature when building a program.
