Playlists let you group songs into themed collections — by liturgical season, service style, or special event. Use playlists to pre-curate song sets and quickly reference them during weekly planning.

Quick Start

  1. Navigate to Playlists in the sidebar.
  2. Click New Playlist and enter a name (e.g., “Advent Songs 2025”).
  3. Click Add Hymn and search for songs from your library.
  4. Select songs and click Add. Your playlist is ready.

How-to Guide

Create and Populate a Playlist

1

Create the Playlist

Go to Playlists in the sidebar and click New Playlist. Enter a Name and optional Description.
2

Add Songs

Click Add Hymn to open the song picker dialog. Search or browse your library. Songs already in the playlist are grayed out.
3

Select and Add

Select songs and click Add. They appear in the playlist.

Reorder Songs

  1. On the playlist detail page, grab the drag handle on any song row.
  2. Drag the song to its new position.
  3. The order saves automatically.

Detect Unsaved Changes

If you navigate away from a playlist with pending reorder changes, a Change Banner appears at the top. Click Save Changes to persist, or Discard to revert.

Pro-Tips

Create seasonal playlists (Advent, Lent, Easter, Ordinary Time) and refresh them annually — this makes weekly program building faster.
Use playlists as a shortlist when planning programs: open the playlist alongside the program editor to quickly reference song choices.
