The Organization module defines the structural hierarchy of your church: Churches → Ministries → Service Types. This hierarchy is the foundation for everything in AdoraPlan — programs, rosters, calendars, and reports all inherit from the structure you build here.

Configure Service Template Roles

Template roles are the key to automatic roster slot generation:
1

Open a Service Type

Click on a Service Type node in the Organization Tree.
2

Open Template Roles

Open the Template Roles panel.
3

Add Roles

Click Add Role and select from the team role catalog (e.g., Worship Leader, Guitarist, Usher). Set the quantity for each role (e.g., 2 Ushers, 1 Sound Tech).
4

Save

Click Save. These roles automatically generate roster slots when you create a new program under this service type.

Resolve Health Panel Warnings

  1. Check the Organization Health Panel at the top of the page.
  2. Warnings appear for: churches with no ministries, ministries with no service types, or service types with no template roles.
  3. Click a warning to navigate directly to the incomplete node.
  4. Complete the missing configuration to resolve the warning.

Pro-Tips

Always add template roles to service types before creating programs. This ensures roster slots are auto-generated and saves manual setup every week.
Use ministry colors strategically. Calendar events inherit the ministry color — choose distinct, high-contrast colors for quick visual scanning.
Multi-site support (multiple churches) requires a Max plan. Compare plans →
