The Events page in the self-service portal lets members see what’s coming up at their church and register with a single click.

What Members See

  • Upcoming events — Listed chronologically with:
    • Event title
    • Date and time
    • Event type (service, fellowship, special event)
    • Church location
  • Register button — One-click RSVP for each event

Registration Flow

Browse Events

The portal displays all upcoming events for the member’s tenant.

Click Register

The member clicks Register on any event they want to attend.

Confirmation

A success message confirms their registration. The event appears as “Registered” in their list.

How It Works

Event data is fetched from the attendance_events table via the portal-auth edge function. When a member registers, an attendance_records entry is created linking them to the event.
Use events alongside the Attendance module to automatically track who showed up — compare registrations vs. actual check-ins.
