The onboarding wizard runs automatically after your first login. It consists of 8 steps and takes about 5 minutes to complete. Every step directly contributes to a usable workspace.

The 8 Wizard Steps

Welcome

A brief introduction to AdoraPlan with the value proposition. Click Let’s Get Started to begin.

Name Your Organization

Enter your organization name (e.g., “Grace Community Church”). This becomes your tenant name — visible across the platform.

Add Your Church

Enter your church’s name, city, and contact information. Multi-site organizations can add more churches later in the Organization module.

Pick Your Ministries

Select from preset ministry types: Worship / Music, Youth, Children’s, Media / Production, Prayer. Each selection creates a ministry record under your church.
Select all the ministries your team serves in — you can always add or remove them later in the Organization module.

Invite Your Team

Add team member email addresses to send invitations. Each invited person receives an email to join your workspace.
This step is optional. Skip it if you want to complete setup first and invite people later from the People page.

What Gets Created During Setup

After the Wizard

You land on the Dashboard, which shows:
  • Next Service Hero — prompts you to create your first program if none exists
  • Quick Actions — direct links to Add Song, Create Program, Invite Team
  • Mini Calendar — empty but ready for services
  • Song Rotation Health — shows “Add songs to see rotation insights”

For Invited Team Members

When a collaborator is invited (not the org creator), they experience a simplified flow:
  1. Receive email invitation
  2. Click link → sign up or log in
  3. Automatically joined to the organization
  4. See the Dashboard with existing data
Invited members skip the full Organization, Church, and Ministry wizard steps since the workspace already exists.
